Course Description:
Do you want to stop hackers from invading your network?
Stellacon's Combined Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH)™/
Computer Hacking Forensic Investigation (CHFI)™ 6-Day
Boot Camp certifies individuals in the specific network
security discipline of Ethical Hacking and Computer
Forensics, from a vendor-neutral perspective, enabling
you to extract the evidence and report the crime!
A Certified Ethical Hacker is a skilled professional
who understands and knows how to look for the weaknesses
and vulnerabilities in target systems, using the same
knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker. Possessing
this type of certification stimulates the right kind
of conversation in an interview or job proposal as most
companies are starting to become more security-aware.
Computer Forensics is simply the application of computer
investigation and analysis techniques in the interests
of determining potential legal evidence. Evidence might
be sought in a wide range of computer crime or misuse,
including but not limited to theft of trade secrets,
theft of or destruction of intellectual property, and
fraud.
CHFI investigators can draw on an array of methods
for discovering data that resides in a computer system,
or recovering deleted, encrypted, or damaged file information.
The goal of the Ethical Hacker is to help the organization
take preemptive measures against malicious attacks by
attacking the system himself; all the while staying
within legal limits. This philosophy stems from the
proven practice of trying to catch a thief, by thinking
like a thief.
The goal of a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) is to
help the organization take preemptive measures against
malicious attacks by attacking their own system. A CEH
understands and knows how to look for the weaknesses
and vulnerabilities in target systems and uses the same
knowledge and tools as a malicious hacker.
When a student leaves this intensive 6-day class, they
will:
- Have hands-on understanding and experience in Ethical
Hacking.
- Gain the necessary skills to identify an intruder's footprints and to properly
gather the necessary evidence to prosecute.
- This class
immerses the student into an interactive environment
where they will be shown how to scan, test, hack and
secure their own systems.
- The lab intensive environment
gives each student in-depth knowledge and practical
experience.
- Students will leave with the ability to quantitatively
assess and measure threats, and to discover where an
organization is most vulnerable to an attack.
- This course will enhance the students knowledge and skills required
to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium
size enterprise branch network.
